What does this result in? A theme worthy of space itself and the war against Bowser. And Peaceful Stars, a more ambient, spacey variation of the same theme. The most insanely badass music in a Mario game EVER, loaded with dread and determination. It's calming enough to make you want to drift off to a long, peaceful sleep. A very peaceful, soothing track that's awesome in quite a different way. Bonus points for it being a Gusty Garden remix. Which is a good thing, as some of those missions have an insane difficulty level and would be completely intolerable otherwise. A wonderful track played during Purple Coin levels.

This one opens with heavy percussion and horns, adds a bit of synth, and then hits a breakdown at 88 seconds in, bringing in a full set of strings to back the beat.

How good is it? It's in contention for best song in the entire Mario series! Consider how many great songs the Mario Series has produced, and then consider how good this one has to be that a good chunk of fans think this is better than all of them! 3 Athletic theme (which made an appearance in this game in a few side levels). It proved to be so good, portions of its theme were incorporated as the theme of the entire Super Mario Galaxy series, and it's made appearances in several games since, just like the Super Mario Bros.
Gusty Garden Galaxy carries an air of adventure and excitement in its melodies and instruments, even as you begin your journey to save Peach and the galaxy from Bowser's tyranny.Substantially more bombastic than previous incarnations, complete with a choir in the background that plays when you have Bowser vulnerable. Bowser's battle theme, and the final boss.Shigeru Miyamoto, the famous producer, then chose the orchestral piece, as it sounded the most "space-like".Given the epic scope of the game and it being the first mainline Mario game to have a live orchestra backing its score, you can bet Galaxy's soundtrack is truly out of this world. He later presented three different styles of music: one piece had an orchestral sound, the other had pop music, and the last featured a mix of both orchestral and pop music. Yokota actually initially composed a Latin American style of music, which Kondo rejected because Mario was supposed to be "cool", which was not suited to the "cute" music Yokota created. The game's soundtrack (including this song) was composed by the brilliant Koji Kondo and Mahito Yokota at Nintendo. I really like that the whole momentum of the song goes up and down, which is very fitting for the first mission, Bunnies in the Wind, where you need to float with the wind using these Floaty Fluffs. The subtle support from the timpani is great as well. The violins, the flourish from the harp, and the buildup with the brass section is just excellent. Oh man, the strings in this are beyond amazing. It starts off with a loud fanfare as you fly in and the moment you touch down it gets quiet for the plucking violins to be heard. I think the song matches the background and the gameplay really well. In the game, this song can be found from "World 4" (called Bedroom in-game), from Gusty Garden Galaxy. Theme, so I wanted to share this one since only players will know it, and it's so epic everyone should know about it! Everyone only knows about the classic Mario Bros. If you've played this game before you'd know this song is iconic, and arguably one of the best songs in the Mario series.
